Antique Victorian Stourbridge Cranberry Opalescent Glass Epergne – c. 1900

A magnificent and large-scale Victorian epergne of exceptional complexity, crafted in Stourbridge, England circa 1900. In rich cranberry opalescent glass with delicate spiral trailing decoration, this piece represents the pinnacle of the English glassmaker's art — a true showpiece for the Victorian table.

The composition is both grand and graceful: a tall central trumpet rises from the center, surrounded by three smaller arched trumpets and three hanging baskets, all supported above a large round float bowl with a beautifully crimped edge. The spiral trailing throughout unifies the piece with a fluid, hand-worked elegance. Unsigned, as is typical of Stourbridge production glass of this period.
