Antique Nippon “Vibrant Roses” Hand-Painted Vase Pair

A charming expression of Japanese decorative artistry, this antique Nippon vase pair features hand-painted roses in a vibrant floral composition. Dating to circa 1891–1921, the pair brings a romantic presence to a thoughtfully arranged interior, with the painted decoration offering an inviting focal point.

Each vase measures 8 × 6.5 inches, a versatile scale for a mantel, console, or collector’s cabinet. Displayed together, they create a balanced arrangement; placed apart within the same room, they offer a graceful visual connection. Offered as a complete pair.

Historical Background

“Nippon” is a Japanese name for Japan and is associated with Japanese export wares of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. It is not, by itself, the name of a single maker. Hand-painted floral decoration reflects the decorative appeal of these wares to collectors. No specific factory or decorator is attributed to this pair.
